KUALA LUMPUR, January 30 – South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille, will visit Malaysia on Feb 4 and 5 as part of a Southeast Asia tour that includes Indonesia and Singapore, in a timely move aligned with Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The visit underscores growing long-haul travel opportunities between Southeast Asia and Africa, with bilateral discussions planned alongside Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, focusing on tourism promotion, air connectivity and market development.

Minister de Lille will also meet Malaysian tourism stakeholders and media to share updates on South Africa’s tourism performance and destination offerings, highlighting the country’s strong appeal to Malaysian travellers through wildlife, adventure, cultural experiences and expanding Muslim-friendly tourism options.
