KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — The Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (Teraju) has channelled RM1.32 billion in financing to 878 Bumiputera companies as of December 2025 to help scale up micro, small and medium enterprises in strategic and high-value sectors.

Deputy Economy Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah said the funds were disbursed through the Bumiputera Expansion and Catalyst Fund (BECF) and Islamic Working Capital Project Financing (i-WCPF).

While four high-technology firms also received RM58.1 million via the VentureTECH strategic investment fund. He added that two Bumiputera firms — SumiSaujana Group Bhd and Orkim Bhd — were successfully listed on Bursa Malaysia.

Reflecting progress under the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA35) and the 13th Malaysia Plan to strengthen competitiveness in high-growth, high-value industries.
