Cupertino-based tech giant Apple Inc. has unveiled the all-new MacBook Neo, a budget-friendly laptop starting at $599, or $499 for education customers, with Malaysian pricing from RM2,499.

Available for pre-order now, the device will begin shipping on March 11. MacBook Neo features a durable aluminum design in blush, indigo, silver, and citrus, and a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with 2408-by-1506 resolution and 500 nits brightness.

Powered by the A18 Pro chip, it delivers up to 50 percent faster everyday performance and up to 3x faster on-device AI processing compared to leading PCs in its class.

Weighing just 2.7 pounds, MacBook Neo offers up to 16 hours of battery life, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones, Spatial Audio speakers, and Apple’s Magic Keyboard with a large Multi-Touch trackpad.

It runs on macOS Tahoe with built-in apps and seamless iPhone integration. “There is simply no other laptop like it,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, highlighting its blend of performance, design, and value.
