KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 – Malaysian singer-rapper Namewee will submit representations to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) regarding two drug possession charges brought against him.

During case management at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates’ Court, his lawyer, Nur A’minahtul Mardiah Md Nor, informed the court that the representations are expected to be filed within a week.

Magistrate Atiqah Mohamed @ Mohamad Saim set April 8 for the prosecution to update the court on the outcome of the submission.

The 43-year-old entertainer had earlier pleaded not guilty to possessing 0.78g of sildenafil under the Poisons Act 1952 and 1.57g of methamphetamine under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The substances were allegedly discovered in a hotel room at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur on Oct 22, 2025.

Police reportedly found several pills believed to be ecstasy and said tests indicated the presence of multiple substances. The case continues to draw public attention as legal proceedings move forward.
