PUTRAJAYA, March 9 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that civil servants in Grade 15 and below, including contract staff, will receive RM500 under the 2026 Special Financial Assistance (BKK) on March 13.
The move aims to support lower-grade government employees and ensure their well-being amid rising living costs. On the same date, government pensioners and veterans, both pensioned and non-pensioned, will receive RM250.
The aid is exempt from income tax. In addition, approximately 70,000 mosque and religious personnel, including imams, bilal, tok siak, marbut, and KAFA teachers, will also receive RM500 each. Anwar highlighted that these measures are part of the government’s ongoing commitment.
To support retirees, veterans, and front-line religious staff. The Prime Minister emphasized that such assistance reinforces the government’s focus on social welfare, while other initiatives, including expanded FLYsiswa travel subsidies for over 50,000 students, continue to reduce financial burdens nationwide.
