KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that the government will not hold any Hari Raya Aidilfitri open houses and will reduce overseas trips to conserve funds amid the economic impact of the Middle East conflict.

Government-linked companies and investment firms have also been directed to cancel their Aidilfitri events. The prime minister described the measures as a cautious effort to ensure prudent spending while mitigating potential financial pressures arising from regional uncertainties.
