KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 – The government is considering amending existing laws or introducing stricter legislation to address issues related to race, religion and royalty (3R).

Government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the Cabinet has agreed that firm action must be taken against incidents involving 3R matters.

Particularly those circulating in the media and on social media platforms. Fahmi said authorities, including the Attorney General, will examine potential gaps in current laws that may hinder effective enforcement.

The review aims to strengthen legal measures and ensure authorities can take earlier and more decisive action against offences involving sensitive 3R issues.
