KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 – Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has urged enforcement agencies to act swiftly against those responsible for desecrating religious symbols, stressing that prompt action is essential to maintain public order and national unity.

He said recent incidents involving the abuse of sacred religious items are unacceptable and require firm enforcement to prevent further racial tension. Gobind called on the police to immediately identify and charge those responsible, including cases involving the Quran and the Soolam.

A sacred symbol in the Hindu community. He said failure to act decisively could undermine public confidence in law enforcement and threaten social harmony. Gobind emphasised that the law must be upheld without fear or favour to ensure Malaysia remains peaceful and united.
