KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 – The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has confirmed that Joao Figueiredo, Jon Irazabal, Hector Hevel of Johor Darul Ta’zim, and Gabriel Palmero of Kuching City FC are properly registered as local players for the Malaysia League 2025-2026.
Their registration complied fully with the league’s rules, including the submission of valid identification documents as required under the MFL and FIFA regulations. However, despite the approved local status, all four players remain subject to a 12-month suspension from official matches.
As recently mandated by FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). MFL clarified that no rules were violated during the registration process.
