KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 – AirAsia MOVE reports changing travel patterns across Southeast Asia ahead of Hari Raya 2026, as millions prepare for homecoming and holidays between March 15 and 28.
Travellers are increasingly booking one-way flights or mixing different airlines to gain flexibility and manage fluctuating fares during the peak festive season.
The platform also noted a rise in group accommodation bookings such as villas and serviced apartments, allowing families to share costs.
Despite careful spending, comfort remains important, with average hotel bookings around RM262 per night as travellers balance meaningful celebrations with budget-conscious planning.
