GEORGE TOWN, March 18 – Gurney Paragon Mall by Hunza Group officially launched its Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 celebrations with the “Raya Bersulam Batik” theme, highlighting Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage through intricate batik motifs fused with modern design.

The grand launch, attended by YB Lim Siew Khim, Penang State EXCO, and Mr Abdul Hadi Che Man, Director of Tourism Malaysia (Northern Region), featured a vibrant festive atrium, illuminated crescent moon, minaret-inspired pillars, and a nostalgic kampung-style pavilion, creating an immersive Raya experience for visitors.

Hunza Group Executive Director, Ms Khor Tze Ming, emphasized the celebration of Malaysia’s multicultural spirit and the artistry of batik, while the Penang State Government highlighted welfare initiatives ensuring inclusive community participation.

Festive performances, cultural showcases, and the new loyalty platform, The H Circle, enhance the mall experience. Through “Raya Bersulam Batik,” Gurney Paragon Mall aims to unite families, celebrate tradition, and contribute to Penang’s appeal as a vibrant cultural and tourism destination during Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
