KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 — The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) says the accountancy profession is evolving rapidly as businesses embrace digital transformation and sustainability.
Driving demand for future-ready talent. MIA President Saniza Said emphasised that while the profession adapts to new trends, core values such as ethics, financial expertise and professional judgement remain essential foundations.
MIA is strengthening the talent pipeline through education, training and industry collaboration, with membership nearing 42,000.
The institute also highlighted expanding career opportunities in areas such as fintech, sustainability and leadership roles, while encouraging digital adoption to enhance efficiency and enable accountants to focus on higher-value work.
