GEORGE TOWN, March 22 — A firecracker stall in Taman Pekaka was almost completely destroyed in a midnight fire.
The Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia received an emergency call at 12.05am and deployed a team from Nibong Tebal.
The 10×10-foot stall suffered 95 per cent damage, while a motorcycle was also badly affected. The fire spread to a nearby house, damaging three air-conditioning units.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes and fully extinguished it by 12.44am. No casualties were reported, and the case has been handed to the fire investigation unit.
