BAYAN LEPAS, March 24 – Tourism Malaysia welcomed travellers with vibrant Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations across nine major airports nationwide.

Including Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Penang International Airport, in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), the initiative, led by key officials, aims to enhance visitor experiences upon arrival.

Passengers were greeted with festive performances, traditional delicacies such as dodol and maruku, and souvenir bags, reflecting Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and hospitality.

In Penang, the celebration was officiated by Yeoh Soon Hin with support from industry stakeholders. The programme also featured VM2026 mascots Wira and Manja, delighting arriving visitors.

With thousands of international passengers expected, the initiative strengthens tourism collaboration while positioning Malaysia as a welcoming, culturally vibrant destination.
