KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 – Malaysia’s supply of petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) remains stable, with no shortages reported, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali confirmed.
While isolated delivery delays occurred during the festive season, continuous monitoring and logistical management ensure sufficient supplies nationwide, including Sabah.
Armizan urged the public against panic buying and reminded that illegal fuel sales without permits are punishable under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
Authorities have also strengthened enforcement through the Inter-Agency Coordination Committee to Combat Leakage and Smuggling (JTPAP) to curb fuel misappropriation.
Especially in border areas, the government continues to prioritize smooth distribution to support economic activities and essential sectors.
