SUNGAI BULOH, March 26 — Datuk Seri R. Ramanan has dismissed claims linking him to the alleged “Mr R” in the ongoing corporate mafia controversy, firmly denying any involvement.
The PKR vice-president said he has never met businessman Victor Chin and questioned how he could have received RM9.5 million, urging Chin to publicly identify the individual behind the allegations.
Ramanan described the claims as an attempt to tarnish PKR’s image and divide the party, adding that he holds no public shares as alleged. He has instructed his division leaders to lodge a police report.
The controversy stems from Chin’s claims that an unnamed PKR MP received RM9.5 million and that “Mr R” acted as an intermediary in efforts to gain control of NexG Bhd.
