KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — The government will roll out proactive early interventions to maintain Malaysia’s economic resilience amid ongoing conflict in West Asia, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

The announcement came after chairing the National Economic Action Council (MTEN), which reviewed geopolitical developments, global economic pressures, and security implications.

Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, said efforts will include securing energy supply by diversifying sources and exploring alternative routes to reduce reliance on high-risk channels like the Strait of Hormuz.

He stressed that while the Aidilfitri celebrations continue, public well-being, particularly the cost of living, remains a top priority.

The government will closely monitor the evolving situation and provide timely updates to ensure stability, urging citizens to remain calm, disciplined, and united in facing these challenges.
