PUTRAJAYA, March 27 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has urged all Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) holders to ensure their licences remain active to maintain eligibility for the targeted BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) fuel subsidy.

Licences are considered active if they have not lapsed beyond 36 months from the last renewal, allowing holders to renew without additional tests.

JPJ warned that licences expired for more than 36 months will render holders ineligible for BUDI95, requiring a full driving competency retest for renewal.

The department emphasised that motorists must always hold a valid driving licence while operating vehicles.

JPJ reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and integrity-driven services in line with Malaysia MADANI’s vision, ensuring public welfare and continuous access to the BUDI95 subsidy.
