KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — Police have detained 10 men, including a journalist, to assist investigations into an alleged trespass at a factory construction site in Kulim Hi-Tech Park.
Kedah police chief Adzli Abu Shah said the group, aged between their 20s and 40s, is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code.
Eight were released on police bail, while two are expected to be brought to court for a remand order.
Authorities said the group allegedly forced entry into the site on March 26, ignoring security guards while questioning the hiring of foreign workers.
The case also involves journalist Kalidas Subramaniom. Meanwhile, Majlis Media Malaysiahas called for a transparent probe, stressing the need to protect legitimate journalistic work.
