PUTRAJAYA, April 2 — The Malaysian government will maintain the BUDI MADANI Diesel (BUDI Diesel) assistance at RM300 per month for April 2026, as global energy market volatility continues.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed that an interim RM100 top-up will remain in place, benefiting about 340,000 recipients under the BUDI Individual and BUDI Agri-Commodity categories.
With payments beginning April 8 and totaling approximately RM102 million. Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the move reflects the government’s commitment to easing cost-of-living pressures.
Particularly for diesel users in agriculture and small-scale sectors. Since its launch in May 2024, the targeted aid has disbursed RM1.12 billion.
Authorities are also reviewing longer-term subsidy mechanisms while strengthening enforcement to prevent misuse and ensure support reaches intended groups.
