PETALING JAYA, April 11 — DayOne Data Centres has announced plans to invest over RM28 billion in Malaysia by the end of the year, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional digital hub.
The expansion will include infrastructure development, shared services and talent programmes, with Malaysia expected to become the company’s largest global operational base.
The move is set to generate 1,200 direct jobs locally and more than 5,000 across the supply chain.
Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi welcomed the investment, highlighting its role in strengthening talent and digital capabilities.
A regional operations and training hub will be established in Johor to train over 1,000 engineers.
