KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 — Anwar Ibrahim chaired a special meeting with Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers to address the ongoing global energy crisis to address the ongoing global energy crisis following tensions in West Asia.

He emphasised a data-driven approach, ensuring coordinated action between federal and state governments based on shared facts and current developments.

Anwar said the government is focused on maintaining energy supply stability, managing price pressures, and protecting the public.

He added that comprehensive scenario planning is underway, alongside stronger engagement with industry players and SMEs, to ensure balanced and effective policies while safeguarding public welfare.
