KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar warned that the upcoming work-from-home (BDR) policy is not an excuse for reduced productivity.

Stressing that civil servants must maintain the same discipline as in-office work. The policy, set to begin April 15, will be closely monitored by department heads to ensure performance standards are met.

He emphasised that BDR does not mean “resting or running personal errands,” adding that clear KPIs must be established for all officers.

Shamsul Azri also urged civil servants to uphold loyalty, practise prudent spending, and avoid misinformation on social media.
