KUALA NERUS, April 19 — Terengganu Sail Cup 2026 saw a breakthrough performance from the Negeri Sembilan sailing team.
Who emerged as overall champions in the Optimist class at the Terengganu State Sailing Centre. Head coach Hamdan Mohd Rozi described the win as a major milestone for the team.
Long considered underdogs, marking a new benchmark ahead of SUKMA Selangor 2026. The victory was led by 15-year-old Putra Hasief Haikal Erwanzee.
Who clinched the individual Optimist title. Negeri Sembilan also finished second in the team event, behind Terengganu, with Pahang third.
The regatta featured 136 sailors across seven categories, highlighting the state’s growing presence in competitive sailing.
