GEORGE TOWN, April 14 — Shopee has brought its “Wanita Go Digital bersama Shopee” programme to Penang under Jelajah Komuniti 2026.

Aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs through digital skills training and e-commerce opportunities.

Held at Komtar and officiated by Deputy Minister YB Lim Hui Ying, the initiative supports women, including homemakers and single mothers, in starting and growing online businesses.

The programme featured training sessions and success stories from women entrepreneurs using Shopee’s ecosystem tools such as livestreaming and affiliate marketing.

Shopee reported women sellers generated RM4.3 billion in GMV in 2026 year-to-date, highlighting strong participation and continued growth in Malaysia’s digital economy.
