KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — Ministry of Finance Malaysia has announced a reduction in fuel prices for April 16 to 22.

With RON97 and RON95 petrol lowered by 25 sen to RM5.10 and RM4.02 per litre respectively, while diesel in Peninsular Malaysia drops by 75 sen to RM5.97 per litre following weaker global oil prices.

Despite the adjustment, the government will maintain targeted subsidies, including RM1.99 per litre for RON95 under the BUDI95 scheme.

Authorities said monthly fuel subsidies now reach about RM7 billion, reflecting global market pressures. Additional diesel cash aid has been raised to RM400 for April.
