KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has intensified enforcement operations with police every two days to tackle illegal street photo touts in the KLCC tourist hotspot, said Mayor Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud.
He said at least five individuals are detained during each operation, with equipment seized. Fadlun said the crackdown has reduced such activities in the area.
Supported by CCTV monitoring and multilingual warnings to tourists every 10 minutes. DBKL will also not issue photography licences in major hotspots due to safety concerns, as operators often pose risks by working on roadsides.
