KUCHING, April 19 — Kuching City FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Selangor FC in Match No. 28 of the Malaysia Cup 2025/2026 at Stadium Kuching, sealing a 2-1 aggregate win.

The decisive goal came in the 31st minute, giving the hosts a crucial advantage in front of 19,855 spectators.

Selangor’s challenge was severely impacted in the second half after two players were sent off, with red cards issued in the 48th and 62nd minutes.

Despite added time of two minutes in the first half and six in the second, Selangor failed to find an equaliser.

The result sees Kuching City progress, while Selangor exit the competition after a hard-fought encounter marked by disciplinary setbacks.
