PUTRAJAYA, April 21 — The Ministry of Finance has announced a comprehensive set of relief measures to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Affected by the ongoing global energy crisis, including a RM5 billion financing guarantee under the Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan (SJPP).

The package offers enhanced support with guarantees of up to 80 per cent and extended coverage periods of up to 10 years.

Alongside loan restructuring assistance and repayment relief in collaboration with financial institutions. Additional measures include a 12-month extension for e-invoicing compliance.

For smaller businesses and interim tax exemptions for re-imported Malaysian goods affected by geopolitical disruptions.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring assistance reaches those in need.
