CUPERTINO, April 21 — Apple Inc. has announced that Johny Srouji will take on the role of Chief Hardware Officer effective immediately, marking a significant shift in its executive leadership structure.

Previously serving as Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies, Srouji will now oversee both Hardware Engineering and the company’s hardware technologies division.

Areas that were most recently led by John Ternus. CEO Tim Cook praised Srouji as a key figure behind Apple’s silicon strategy.

Highlighting his leadership in driving transformative innovations that have shaped not only Apple’s products but also the broader tech industry.

In his expanded role, Srouji will lead one of the world’s most advanced hardware teams, responsible for designing and engineering Apple’s integrated products across categories.

His contributions span critical technologies including custom chips, batteries, cameras, sensors, and displays, forming the backbone of Apple’s ecosystem.

Having joined Apple in 2008 to lead development of its first in-house chip, Srouji has built a globally respected engineering team.

Incoming CEO Ternus expressed confidence in continued collaboration, noting Srouji’s pivotal role in advancing product innovation as Apple moves into its next phase of growth.
