GEORGE TOWN, April 24 — Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay revealed that 1,429 police personnel faced disciplinary action in 2025, including 134 dismissals.

Underscoring the force’s firm stance against misconduct. Speaking at a public safety forum, he stressed that even minor violations — ranging from corruption and extortion to negligence.

Warning that in today’s digital age, misconduct cannot be hidden. He added that stronger enforcement, consistent action.

And public reporting channels such as the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department and Independent Police Conduct Commission are essential to maintaining accountability.

He also called for greater collaboration between police, NGOs and communities to strengthen crime prevention and rebuild trust in the institution.
