KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 — Padini Holdings Berhad has clarified that a recent bank account freeze by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Is linked to investigations involving external counterparties, not the company or its management. The group stated it is unaware of any wrongdoing.

And described the action as a procedural step under ongoing probes. Padini confirmed its daily operations remain unaffected.

Noting the frozen accounts are not critical to business activities. The company has initiated an internal review, engaged external legal counsel, and is taking steps to unfreeze the accounts.

Reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on corruption, Padini pledged full cooperation with authorities and will provide updates as developments arise.
