KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 — Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a Level 1 hot weather alert across 17 areas nationwide as temperatures climb between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days.

Affected locations include Perlis, several districts in Kedah, Perak and Kelantan, as well as Kuala Lumpur, parts of Selangor, and areas in Sabah and Sarawak.

Authorities said the alert signals prolonged hot conditions that may impact public health and daily activities.

MetMalaysia advised the public to stay updated through official channels and take necessary precautions during the heatwave, including staying hydrated and limiting prolonged outdoor exposure.
