PUTRAJAYA, April 29 — Ministry of Finance Malaysia announced an increase in retail fuel prices for the period April 30 to May 6, 2026.
Citing continued volatility in global petroleum markets due to the ongoing West Asia crisis. Unsubsidised RON95 will rise by 10 sen to RM3.97 per litre.
While RON97 increases by 5 sen to RM4.90 per litre. Diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia remain unchanged at RM5.12 per litre.
The adjustment follows the Automatic Pricing Mechanism based on global market trends, amid supply disruptions and refinery damage in the region.
Subsidised fuel prices remain unchanged, with BUDI95 at RM1.99 per litre and diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan at RM2.15.
The government urged prudent fuel usage while maintaining targeted subsidies to cushion the impact on consumers.
