GEORGE TOWN, May 3 — DAP leaders in Penang say their weekly ground engagements at public markets across the state are aimed at strengthening ties.

With residents while providing explanations on national and local issues. Speaking during the seventh such visit.

Party representatives said the initiative allows leaders to listen directly to public concerns and clarify government policies.

They highlighted several issues, including street naming in honour of academic contributions, the Bukit Bintang Rain Rave festival, and political developments in Negeri Sembilan.

Stressing that DAP’s position remains focused on economic stability and public welfare amid global uncertainty.

They also pointed to SME support initiatives such as Bank Negara’s RM5 billion relief fund, saying it reflects the government’s priority in protecting businesses.

The programme, they added, will continue weekly across Penang’s constituencies and markets.
