KUCHING, September 15 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has warned that communalism and corruption could undermine Malaysia’s unity and future, urging younger Malaysians to learn from the country’s history.
Fahmi said communism, communalism and corruption were three threats capable of damaging a nation. While the communist threat had been overcome.
He said Malaysians must remain vigilant against racial attitudes that place one community above others. Speaking at a National Day and Malaysia Day programme in Kuching.
Fahmi said leadership was a public trust and urged younger generations to preserve the values that have kept Malaysia peaceful, united and progressive.
