TANJUNG SEPAT, September 29 — The Selangor Cultural Festival 2026 brought together traditional arts, food and heritage from the state’s nine districts as part of efforts to strengthen cultural tourism.
Held from Sept 16 to 20 at Pantai Batu Laut, the festival featured Cempuling music, traditional dance, silat, wayang kulit, cultural competitions and concerts.
A highlight was the “Emas 9” performance involving 100 participants and combining music, dance, language, traditional clothing and customs.
The festival also featured interactive exhibitions and activities involving 110 businesses and 15 sponsors. Organisers said local heritage could support tourism while strengthening Malaysia’s creative industries.
