KUALA LUMPUR, September 30 — Canon Malaysia says print-and-cut technology could help local creators turn ideas into commercial products.

Malaysia’s cultural and creative industry contributed 6.8% to GDP in 2024 and grew 7.1% year-on-year.

Canon has partnered with Siser Asia to support small-scale production of customised merchandise, stickers, labels and apparel.

The company said flexible production tools could lower barriers for creative entrepreneurs and support Malaysia’s growing creative economy.
