VIRGIN, Aug 27 – According to chilling television footage of the incident and their network, two journalists for a local CBS affiliate in Virginia were shot to dead on Wednesday during a live broadcast in an on-air interview session. The two WDBJ journalist Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, were shot at close range during the interview session.
WDBJ was located in the southern Virginia city of Roanoke. Its general manager Jeffrey Marks said that they also did not know about the motive of that ganman. He said they did not know who the suspect or the killer is but he just can confirmed the deaths to viewers.
“Parker and Ward were ‘both in love with other members of the team’ at WDBJ. The woman that the Parker was interviewing on the balcony at the lakeside Bridgewater Resort in the town of Moneta which near the Roanoke was reportedly wounded in the time,” said Marks.
During the on-air interview, Parker was talking to the woman about the tourism development for WDBJ’s on early-morning newscast. The gunman was seemingly walk closed in from behind. Several shots were heard from the sceens, as well as screams. Ward’s camera was felled to the floor with also capturing a fuzzy image of the gunman with dressed in a dark clothing. In the same time, the station there were also cut away to a startled which anchorwoman back in the studio.
