KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 – Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (Malaysia Airports) says it believes in the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle for employees and will organise regular sports activities and events. It said in a statement on Saturday that these include its monthly aerobic sessions for employees and passengers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2 terminals, inter- and intra-department football tournaments, and other indoor and outdoor sports activities.
“Beyond the obvious health benefits, sports teaches us much about life. It teaches us about teamwork, getting along with others, and how to work together to achieve a common goal,” General Manager Zainol Md Isa said in a speech during the company’s celebration of Hari Sukan Negara (National Sports Day) attended by some 180 employees. Hari Sukan Negara is an initiative by the Youth and Sports Ministry to turn Malaysia into a sporting nation.
