BEIJING, Oct 17 – Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai told reporters after the Asian Political Parties’ Special Conference on Silk Road closing ceremony here on Friday that neither Malaysia nor the report released by the Dutch Safety Board apportioned blame for the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine in July last year.
Liow said neither Malaysia nor the report apportioned blame on whether Russia or any separatist group was involved in the criminal activity. He said he do not see any accusation, whatsoever on Russia which are in this case. He added that whatever inputs from parties would be taken into consideration by the technical investigators.
In the meantime, Russian Ambassador to Malaysia, Valery N Yermolov on Thursday told Malaysia to stop pointing fingers at who was to blame for the shooting down of Flight MH17 on July 17 while enroute from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur over Ukrainian territory.
