JOHOR BAHARU, Dec 27 – The International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) will hold more awareness programmes on online business next year, said Deputy Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan. The Pontian Member of Parliament told reporters after a meeting between Johor MITI and local entrepreneurs here Saturday that all agencies under MITI are urged to hold programmes such as seminars, forums and clinics on online business in 2016.
He said their entrepreneurs have been taught packaging, branding and the like, now they want them to venture into online business. In the meantime, he also said that the online businesses are effective and simple to operate as they do not need premises and reduce business transaction time, besides being one way for the people to cut their living expenses.
