KUALA LUMPUR, February 16 — DAP national adviser Lim Guan Eng has renewed Pakatan Harapan’s 2022 call for an independent investigation into Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Tan Sri Azam Baki’s shareholdings.
Urging that the matter be debated in Parliament before the current session ends on March 3, 2026, following Bloomberg reports that Azam held 17.7 million shares in Velocity Capital Bhd and 4.52 million shares in Awanbiru Technology Bhd.
With the holdings allegedly exceeding government limits for civil servants, while a special task force has been set up and Bukit Aman has launched a criminal defamation investigation into the reporting.
