GEORGE TOWN, February 16 — The Lishan Garden Hawker Centre, a beloved culinary landmark with over 50 years of history, has completed a comprehensive renovation and officially reopened on Sunday.
Just before the Lunar New Year, offering a refreshed and safer environment for the community; the RM500,000 upgrade includes improved lighting, fans, wash basins, drainage, flooring, insulated roofing, and structural reinforcement.
While preserving its rich heritage as home to iconic local dishes such as the 50-year-old laksa, Michelin Bib Gourmand curry noodles, nasi lemak, and other traditional fare, ensuring the hawker centre continues to serve as both a social hub and a showcase of Penang’s culinary culture.
