PUTRAJAYA, February 28 — The investigation report by a special committee probing the shareholding issue involving Azam Baki is expected to be completed next week, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said.
He added that the Cabinet will review the findings before deciding whether to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI). The committee is chaired by Attorney-General Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar.
Fahmi said the allegations, including claims reported by Bloomberg regarding Azam’s shares in a listed company, were discussed in depth by ministers.
He also confirmed that the Royal Malaysia Police has launched investigations into separate claims of abuse of power for corporate interests, stressing that any wrongdoing will face legal action.
