KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 — Malaysia has strongly condemned the recent strikes on Iran, with Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan describing the attacks as brutal and deeply concerning. In a Facebook post, he said the action by Israelrisks igniting a wider regional conflict and must cease immediately.
He called for urgent negotiations to safeguard global peace and stability, warning that the aggression would only bring suffering to innocent civilians. “The world does not need a new war at this moment,” he said.
Mohamad stressed that the strikes violate Iran’s sovereignty and undermine regional security. He added that such actions contravene international law, including the Geneva Conventions, United Nations Security Council resolutions, and principles of the UN Charter.
International reports said explosions were recorded in Tehran and several other Iranian cities following the attacks.
