GEORGE TOWN, March 1 — Penang executive councillor Wong Hon Wai has advised passengers flying from Penang International Airport to the Middle East to stay alert to the latest developments in the region.
In a social media post, he reminded travellers to closely monitor the evolving situation and check directly with their respective airlines for updated flight information.
Wong stressed the importance of obtaining accurate updates from official airline channels to avoid confusion or disruption to travel plans.
The advisory comes amid heightened tensions in parts of the Middle East, which have led to airspace closures and flight adjustments by several carriers.
