KUALA LUMPUR, September 26 — Anthony Wong and Edison Chen will headline the RM10 million Chinese New Year film “Temple of Wishes”, filmed across Malaysia, China and Italy.
Wong praised Chen’s dedication, saying he used English phonetics to memorise difficult Chinese dialogue during filming.
Chen said he accepted the role partly to discover whether he was still suited to acting and whether audiences wanted to see him return.
Directed by Pei Chiek Goh, the film also stars Nikki Hsieh and Samuel Pang and is scheduled for release on Feb 6, 2027.
