“Malaysian government has so far failed to tackle the corruption scandals it faces. While the people in positions of responsibility were acting with impunity with the most notably over allegations concerning the prime minister. The recent removal of the Attorney-General and the on-going manipulation of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have turned the clock back on fighting corruption in Malaysia,” said TI.
