GEORGE TOWN, Oct 3 – Community Development and Security Committee (JKKK) are expected to act in a more proactive especially in dismissed a defamation played by certain parties, at the grassroots level. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was speaking at a ceremony of the Appointment of JKKK here on Friday.
“Obviously, the latter should play an important role as the main stronghold in spreading correct information relating to the administration of the State and act proactively in the idea.These bodies is ‘the first’ sought residents should there be a problem,” said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
“In fact, the latter also serves as a ‘bridge’ connecting between the State, the departments or agencies of the local government and people,” he said during the ceremony. Also present were Deputy Chief Minister II, Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy; Penang State Secretary, Datuk Seri Farizan Darus; Deputy State Secretary, Ghazali Derahman and officers of Daerah dari daerah Barat Daya, Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS) and Seberang Perai Utara (SPU).
Elaborating, Guan Eng also said that in strengthening and consolidating JKKK, the State Government intends to create a bureau which will serve as the driving force of the local community.He said that the Firmness JKKK will give the authority of the State and if the mechanism is implemented effectively, and every insult and slander can be ignored. Meanwhile, a total of 20 units JKKK attend the ceremony while all had been appointed to take effect from 1 October 2015 until 31 December 2015.
